ProLink XTV ATV/UTV Factor 55
Shackle/D-ring mount for UTV and ATV winch lines. The ProLink XTV allows UTV and ATV winch owners to replace the conventional winch hook with a safer and stronger shackle/D-Ring. Winch hooks can cut and fray recovery straps and often allow strap ends to escape during typical loose/tight cycles of a winching recovery.
Screw pin shackles do not allow strap loops to escape due to the secure screw pin attachment. The ProLink XTV does not require splicing and is compatible with steel cables or synthetic ropes up to 5/16 inches. The cable eye is retained in the ProLink XTV by a 7/16 inch diameter titanium double shear pin and internal snap ring. It is easily installed in minutes. The EPDM Rubber Guard protects alloy fairleads and is securely attached to the ProLink XTV with 4 barbed tips.
The ProLink XTV stows neatly against either roller or Hawse type fairleads and is designed to be used with common standard 1/2 – 5/8 inch shackles. Made in the USA, the ProLink XTV is constructed of 6000 series billet aluminum and 6Al-4V titanium and is anodized/powder coated in 5 different colors. The ProLink has a max load rating of 6000 pounds and an ultimate failure of 22,000 pounds. Features:
Precision machined from 6000 series aluminum and 6Al-4V titanium
Weight – 8.3 ounces
Max load rating: 6000 pounds
Ultimate failure: 22,000 pounds
Fits steel cables and synthetic winch ropes to 5/16 inch diameters
EPDM Rubber Guard protects alloy fairleads and cushions line stowage
Simple snap ring removal for shear pin
Fits common 1/2 and 5/8 shackles/D-Rings
Stops hook rattle and fairlead damage
ProLink XXL Factor 55
The Factor 55 ProLink XXL is the largest and strongest ProLink winch shackle mount in production. The ProLink XXL provides winch owners with a means to replace the conventional winch hook with a safer and stronger screw pin shackle/D-ring. Originally designed for military 24,000 pound winch applications, the ProLink XXL is now available to the general public.
Like all models in the ProLink family, the XXL is engineered and made in the USA from 6000 series billet aluminum and is equipped with a 6Al-4V titanium double shear pin. In this case the shear pin diameter is .750 inches. The base of the XXL is protected by the barbed high durometer EPDM rubber guard. With a working load limit of 24,000 pounds and an ultimate failure of over 63,000 pounds, the Prolink XXL is definitely up to the task.
The XXL is compatible with steel cables and synthetic ropes up to 1/2 inch in diameter. The XXL is also compatible with common 3/4 inch shackles as well as larger 7/8 inch shackles. Like other ProLink products, the XXL is available in 5 anodized/powder coated colors – black, silver, gray, red, and blue. Features:

Tree Saver Strap Factor 55
Factor 55 finally releases a low energy storing Tree Saver Strap. These straps are not constructed like typical recovery/snatch straps. The Tree Saver Strap is not designed to store energy from stretch. They are designed to serve as a versatile link to attach to trees and or vehicles and are constructed of an ultra low stretch (low energy storage) polyester, not high stretch nylon like typical snatch straps.
The applications vary from easily attaching to vehicles that are not equipped with recovery points, to using your winch and Tree Saver Strap to attach to the closest recovery point or nearest tree. The inherit flat shape of the straps prevent the straps from rolling and twisting when attached to tubular shapes like bumper stingers, steering components, and nerf bars. We prefer flat straps over round ropes for this reason.
Even polyester webbing materials retain a small element of material stretch and since the total energy stored is a function of the percent of stretch and the overall length of the strap, we have designed the strap to be the perfect length to wrap around a tree and still retain the necessary webbing overlap and stitch count necessary for the rated loads.
The overall length of the Tree Saver Strap is 8 feet, and this is reduced to only 4 feet long when used in the common basket configuration. Low stretch/energy storage equates to less recoil energy during a possible component failure.
These straps are manufactured in the USA to Factor 55 specifications by the Certified Sling Corporation, the parent company to the well known Bubba Rope Company. Features:

Hawse Offset Fairlead 1.5 Inch Thick Factor 55
Factor 55 introduces a new Aluminum Hawse Offset Fairlead. These 1.5 inch fairleads are CNC machined from 1.5 inch thick USA 6000 series aluminum bar. The industry standard fairlead thickness is .75 inches thick. The thicker aluminum bar results in a larger outer fillet radius for the synthetic rope to slide against. This results in less stress on the rope fibers during high angular pulls, increasing the life of your synthetic rope. The Offset fairleads are the industry’s first Hawse Offset fairlead compatible with larger 1/2 inch diameter rope tube thimbles.
The rope slot height opening is taller to allow the larger 1/2 inch tube thimbles to pass through. There is also a machined outer corner chamfer to reduce rope stress for those than plan on using the winch as a front suspension suck down device. These fairleads come in a durable MIL-A-8625F TYPE III gun metal gray hard anodized finish with a laser engraved logo. What is the best surface finish for Hawse aluminum fairleads? Without a doubt it is a Type III hard anodized coating. Not cosmetic Type II anodized finishes, not powder coated, and not raw or polished aluminum.
Why? Because a hard coating can resist the abrasion damage from a dirty/gritty synthetic winch rope rubbing across it. Especially during extreme side pulls where rope fiber stresses are extremely high. A Mil-A-8625 Type III hard anodized finish leaves a .002 inch thick Al2O3 ceramic coating that is in the top 5 hardest materials known to mankind (See chart under Corundum/Sapphire). Not too far away from diamond hardness actually. Another valuable material property from hard anodized coatings are the low coefficients of friction. Low friction = lower rope heat.
Only drawback? Hard anodizing is not offered in typical bright and fancy anodized colors. All Factor 55 fairleads only come in Mil-A-8625 hard gray finishes. Not fancy, but it is the proper finish to extend the life of your synthetic rope. Features: Size:1.5 inch Overall Dimension: 11.75 x 3.25 inch Offset Opening: .80 inch Thickness: 1.5 inch For synthetic winch rope only.
